Ilkley Angling Association

River Wharfe at Ilkley

The club’s fishing rights  extend from the packhorse bridge, both banks, down stream to the stepping stones at Ben Rhydding. Most of the river offers excellent fly fishing, with wild Brown Trout to over 3lbs, Grayling to 2lbs and Chub to 5lbs.  There are also some good pools for float fishing

Lagoons on Coutances Way, Ben Rhydding

There are two lagoons on Coutances Way (Leeds Road), both badly affected by weed. One is owned by the club and the other is leased. We are currently making new pegs on the member’s pond for the forthcoming season and hope to stock it with coarse fish.
