About Us

Ilkley Angling Association was formed in the 1920’s but its history goes right back to the formation of Ilkley Angling Club in 1887.

For the past 100 years the club has controlled the angling rights on the River Wharfe flowing through Ilkley (just 35-40 minutes from Bradford and Leeds).  It also has two ponds coarse fisheries.  Some of these river and stillwater fisheries are club-owned.

Access for our members to many other game and coarse fishing waters in West and North Yorkshire is provided through our partnerships with Knaresborough Piscatorials, Wetherby & District Angling Club and Skipton Angling Association.
